AI-Generated Malware Represent a ‘New Breed of Cyber Threats’

"AI-generated “polymorphic malware” could create a new family of cyber threats that can easily evade contemporary endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, threat intelligence firm HYAS said in a report on Tuesday.

In the report, HYAS noted that, with ChatGPT and other generative AI tools available today, cybercriminals can leverage “neural network code synthesis” to develop highly sophisticated malware that is unpredictable and can outsmart most present-day security solutions.
