Financial services research firm recognizes HYAS innovation
VICTORIA, British Columbia - June 8, 2021 — FinTech Global, a specialist research firm, has announced that HYAS, the world’s leading authority on cyber adversary infrastructure and communication to that infrastructure, is among this year’s CyberTech100 list. The CyberTech100 2021 is Fintech Global’s second annual list of the world’s most innovative providers of digital solutions helping financial services firms fight off cyber attacks and protect their data.
The CyberTech industry for financial services has seen huge growth over the last four years as operations are increasingly moving to the cloud and organizations expand their spending on securing new digital infrastructure. Total annual investments in the sector grew from $0.7B in 2016 to over $6.2B last year. That's an increase of nearly nine times and a CAGR of 72.5%.
As a result, the competition to be identified as one of the leading 100 CyberTech companies in the world was even fiercer this year. A panel of analysts and industry experts voted from a list of over 1,000 companies, aggregated by FinTech Global. The finalists were recognized for their innovative use of technology to solve a significant industry problem, or to generate cost savings or efficiency improvements across the security value chain.
“Security executives working in financial services need to be aware of the latest innovation and threats in the market in order to protect client and company data as well as fend off cyber and financial criminals,” said Richard Sachar, director at FinTech Global. “The CyberTech100 list helps them do just that and identify new technologies which will have lasting impact on the industry and attackers’ behaviour.”
“In our ever-changing world, financial institutions face an onslaught of new challenges and struggles posed by evolving work models, increased attack surfaces, and complex cyber attacks. Our goal is to give security and fraud personnel at all levels the confidence to move forward by helping financial services stop adversaries before they get started, put attackers out of operation, and move beyond traditional defense. We appreciate the recognition by CyberTech100 for the innovation we've done and look forward to continuing to help our customers defend themselves against the onslaught of new attacks,” said HYAS CEO David Ratner.
